There are text files about this on ticalc.org that explain how the
calculators were "hacked" back in the day.  The basic way was to modify a
variable on the calc to point to ROM instead of RAM, then send this variable
back to the PC, which would be a mini ROM dump.  Once this was done, it was
analyzed and they determined how to execute assembly code.  After this, it
just took a lot of dissassembly of the ROM.
