A86: A bit on Sqrxz and Mario levels
Title: A bit on Sqrxz and Mario levels
although there are more Sqrxz levels out now, Super Mario 86 levels are easy to make with the included editor. Someday there will be more Super Mario levels out there than Sqrxz levels though, for the reason listed above. To make a Sqrxz level, on the other hand, you need the ugly dos based editor or need to know the language it's in and write them on the calc (a painstaking process, ive done before.
Also on that thought, what do you think if I get a website going explaining how the Sqrxz level description language works, and explain how to make them by hand on the calculator? Maybe host it on ticalc. Give me your opinions on that thought.
Hey, what do you guys (and gals) think, if i do a "make the best Super Mario level" competition to get people writing levels again? Maybe we could get ticalc.org on some sort of prize or something. Everyone, get me your opinions on this!
