Well, as I see you're using AOL4 on Win95, I'd suggest DJGPP, a decent
DOS-based compiler. I believe the homepage is www.delorie.com/djgpp/
An assembler for x86 would be nasm or nasmw, the netwide assembler, it's
also free but I forgot where you can get it. Sorry I can't be of more help.
