What's the big deal with IP addresses?  I seriously doubt AOL cycles IP
addresses, that would be impossible.  It will most likely give you a new one
each time you log on, but it is impossible to change an IP address for a
network adapter (in this case the dial-up adapter) in Windows without
restarting that adapter.  If AOL changed your IP, it would screw up any apps
that were using TCP/IP.

And people getting your IP means NOTHING.  If you are on a network
connection, cable modem, any other permament connection, then you will have
a static IP.  ICQ gives away your IP (unless you turn on IP hiding).  As
long as someone doesn't have some sort of remote control program (like one
that displays fireworks then takes over your computer :) then your computer
is pretty safe.
