symbolic manipulation is working with variables that don't have a value
assigned to them.  like what you do in algebra.  the the 89/92/92+ can do
this.  all other calcs can't do anything algebraicly they do everything
numerically

BY THE WAY!... i finally got the CAS-86 section put up on my site
http://chad.dirks.com .  hopefully some people will understand somewhat what
I'm aiming at and will be able to contribute.  everyone else can wait till
tuesday when I'll have a version done which will probably just do 1 form and
2 or 3 ops.
