Well, the ! is a function of the calc, and in math its called a factorial.
So 4! means 4x3x2x1 where x is the multiply sign. So maybe the function
itself is stored in the variable (if i'm wrong, sue me, i'm not good with
asm... maybe i can't write asm beyond ld stuff:)
