well, i don't know.  but once Trey Jazz comes out w/ his virus :) it can be
used to make an anti-virus program, that checks for the silent linking of
(sqrt)programs, backups, or even performs confirmation on each variable and
allows you to accept or decline.  but until then, i'd say it has no logical
purpose (although it must for TI to have put it there).    kirk
