Actually, neither ASE or Rascall emulate the 83 and only ASE emulates the 82
(though programs must be converted on the computer first).  I see no point
whatsoever for 82 or 83 emulation.  Almost all games on those calculators
are ports of 85/86 games and are not as good as the original's (because the
82/83 are not as good as the 85/86).  The few exceptions would be the big
games, such as FFX4, Dying Eyes, Little Dude 1 and Little Dude 2.  These
games would be too big to play with an emulator anyway, thus it would be
wise to spend the time porting the games (which would be better anyway)
instead of writting an emulating shell which probably wouldn't work anyway
(ASE and Rascall aren't actually emulators, they just setup the calc to look
like an 82 or 85 and/or change the addresses in the program code...so they
would be more like dynamic recompilers [though the code itself is not
recomplied] or just loaders).
