I believe I'm going to add this question to my page, it's rather common.

Ok, what the problem is is that the original ASM programmers of the 86 were
(and still are) working off prelim info gathered by themselves with a tad
bit of help from TI.  There was no way of knowing whether anything would be
cross-rom compatible, which apparantly it isn't.  So, as it stands right
now, people with rom 1.3 need to wait for TI to release the info, or to
compare the 1.2 rom to the 1.3 to figure out what is the same, so that
programmers can make a better guess.
