I think that a browser on the calc might be a good idea.  But, I'd only consider
using it because of it's portability.  An external modem would be a fairly easy start
(not for me, but for someone) but you can't be just anywhere.  How about one of them
old acoustic couplers that you attach to the mouthpiece and earpiece of the phone?
Then you could get your mail ANYwhere, even at payphones or on a plane, in a train,
on a boat, with a goat... you get the idea right?  But are those even made?
