No one ever said you had to use all of the pins from the mouse port. Have
you seen the schematics for the "$5 link"? If you have not, go to
http://www.ticalc.org and then select "Links and Software" (or something
like that), and choose $5 link. It uses a 25 pin serial port female plug,
and 5 wires which then tie into the 3 wires from the 2.5mm plug. You might
be able to do it, just gotta find out which pins on the mouse cable do what.
