Then I take it 4000 to 7FFF is where all the bank switching takes place.
I think you meant that the second time you mentioned 0000-4000.


I haven't gotten back to trying that ram dump on the 83 yet.  I've
been busy with something else on another system.  I will get back to
it but not this week.  Maybe this weekend or next weekend if I can.


I don't want to spend too much time on this, though.  I'l take a look
at your suggestions and a couple other ideas I have and it'll work or
not.  I think I want to spend most of what time I have on the 83 right
now building more tools to make this kind of stuff easier.  Next step
is to put a search in the hex viewer.  Then digging will be a lot
easier.


So far I've still been unable to get the location of a string with
_CHKFINDSYM.  Has anyone made that work?
