[A83] '83 guts
I'm looking at using an old 83 for some control stuff.
I want to attach to the data lines directly... but nobody seems to agree on
what's what.
I heard people saying the Toshiba chip is the Z80, the MX-marked chip is a
ROM... but so far I've found
-the Toshiba chip is a combination LCD controller & keypad scanner - NOT the
microcontroller
-the chip with an "MX" on it is a Macronix chip - a microcontroller,
probably with inbuilt ROM
-the long Epson chip is the RAM.
Anyone know WHICH Macronix chip it is? It's rebranded.
