If you want actual working code, then check out a game that does what you
want, like Sqrxz.  Or if the source that you have works, why are you asking
us to explain it to you?  Can you not read z80?  Can you not go through it
line by line and comment it, and figure out what it does?  If you can't,
then you need to start with simpler stuff and work your way up.  You're not
going to magically become a good programmer overnight.  It takes a lot of
effort, and people are much more receptive to helping you when you have put
in the effort yourself first.
