Re: A83: Inside the TI-83

Hey Linus, I figured you would be the one, if any, to reply. First
off, I have a rom version 1.07, and could only find three distinct ic's,
while my friend with a rom version 1.06 had four ic's. Now, I have a
toshiba ic, which I think is the lcd driver, an epson ic, which I think
is the rom, and a TI ic (it says (C) 1996 TI, which I cannot find out
what it is. I am wondering if this is the z80, because I cant find
anything that resembles the z80, which is suposed to have forty pins
right, (44 maybe?). The three ic's that I see are 28,32, and 80 pins.
My main question is where is my z80 chip. And the other question is,
what is the "TI" ic?
I sent TI an email but they replied with something stupid, although the
guy was nice about it.
