The other known way of allocating memory is more complicated as far as
programming is concerned. SQRXZ uses it.
And yes Linus, I believe this method is truly dynamic though I've never used it.
SOS (or AShell for that matter) doesn't work on a few ROM calls that change the
size of variables.
