furthermore, i need to say the reason behind this - there will be 5 worlds 
in the game and each will have a set of less than 64 local tiles each - it 
would fit without compression but the memory as u all know is VERY tight and 
i would like to be able to use the space freed by compressing the tiles for 
some *necessary* goodies i want in the final version
