Calcwars Released
Posted by Michael on 25 May 2003, 15:17 GMT

Andy Hou has released a strategy game for the 92 Plus/Voyage 200, called Calcwars. Players build units, move them, attack the opponent's units, capture buildings, etc. A future version will have a calculator AI player available.

Update: The 89 version can now be downloaded.

Yeah, CTC2 is probably the best RTS out there, but it is no longer in development (although the source is with us). However, the link you posted leads to v1.00 of CTC2. On my calc, I am running a modified (read: h4x0r3d) version of 1.05. It should be available on CalcWare.org.

Easiest way to learn TI-89 BASIC?
John Anderson  Account Info

Hi, I just bought a TI-89 and I am a bit confused with some of the commands (and how to get to them) on the TI-89. I am 75% fluent with a TI-83 Plus and I have made several programs, not yet uploaded though!, and I was wondering if there was a guide somewhere or something like that, since, as usual TI's guidebook is a bit ambiguous, heft, and down right crappy.

Wow! This game is awesome. You really need to make the AI, because two player is kind of boring especially when you have nobody to play with you. Fog of war would also help, and so would new units. Keep up the great work and don't forget that TI 89 is just as good as TI 92+.

P.S. This reminds me of civilization call to power!
