Kirk Meyer Releases Fast 3D Grapher for TI-83+
Posted by Andy on 12 August 2002, 04:44 GMT

Kirk Meyer of Detached Solutions released a flash application Graph³. It is faster than the TI-89's built-in grapher. It features rotation, zooming, tracing, and more. It also draws either wireframe or hidden surface plots (and rotation is fast with either).

Update (Andy): Version 1.0 is now available, which fixes some bugs as well as compatibility with OS version 1.13.

OK people, enough. I know people can't spell. I know people use improper grammar. And yes, I know you never start a sentence with a conjunction. However,

this gives you no right to insult these people. Lay off. This board is open to anyone and everyone who visits this web site, so long as they have an account

(which, of course, is free).

Since the board, by nature, is an open forum limited only by a few mostly common rules of decency, perhaps we should follow some more as-yet unwritten rules.

1. Just because someone makes a stupid comment, it doesn't give you the right to rub their face in the dirt about it or insult them. People who feel like

they aren't welcome here are very like NOT to return. Keep in mind that someone who makes what you deem a 'stupid' comment might be a seven-year-old child,

and to them it might be a very serious question.

2. Don't flout your intelligence. You are not the king of the world. There is always someone, somewhere, who is smarter than you, or better than you at what

you do. Modesty never hurt anyone.

3. If you want to be treated with respect, treat others with respect. This should really be a no-brainer... I mean, come on, it's even in the Bible. Yes, I

know, you're not all Christian, or Mormon, or anything that reads the Bible... but that's not the point. Even if you think the Bible is fiction, it's also a

very good guidebook for living a respectable life.

No booze for Clifford? I think he was red enough. =)

Ahem.

You'd have to be an idiot to drink booze. In fact, you'd have to be an idiot to do any kind of drugs. Don't believe me? Look at what they do to your body. What kind of sane person would do that to themself?

And I'm Mormon too. I don't do any drugs. I don't drink anything like coffee or tea. I don't even drink caffeine. Surprised? It's called The Word of Wisdom. And it really does help. A study in California showed that the Mormons who followed this lived on average 10 years longer that anyone who didn't. How's that for a health plan?

personally I think that caffeine has little effect on life span... there haven't been any studies to show otherwise... the study you mentioned mainly included the use of heavy drugs like cocaine or heroin, and not caffeine.

You might want to change your mind. Dieing for you right now wouldn't be good. (If you want to find out why, e-mail me.)

And why does it matter if this app can graph faster than the 89? Should I return my 89... On second thought, never mind. Sure it'd be nice to have faster 3D graphs, but why does it matter how fast they go? Unless you use them in programs, then you'd want them to go as fast as possible. (AFAP!!!)

yeah, but then you couldn't drink vanilla coke, the best soft drink. And who wants to live to 100 and live in a nursing home, that sounds like fun!

Not every 100-year-old is in a nursing home. There's some main I heard about on headline news that is 102 and goes out every day to play a round of golf, lives at home, still drives, hasn't lost his senses or his continence; etc. In other words, sounds more like a 50- or 60-year-old than a 100-year-old...

if I ever get that old, I want to be like him.
