Vacation Times
Posted by Henrik on 28 June 2002, 22:00 GMT

It is vacation times for the ticalc.org staff. Being based in the northern hemisphere, we will enjoy summer. I know at least some of us will do some extensive travelling around the globe. Due to this, pending files will grow, help mail will be answered with greater delay, and not much new will happen for a month or two.

The ticalc.org staff wishes all our visitors a good summer (or winter if you are below the equator) and hope you all understand we all need some vacation.

Tell us about your own vacation plans below.

I don't have time to go to my church camp this summer. Would if I could. It's Camp Indianola in Washington.

I got it from a _great_ novella called True Names. Read it!!!
Anyway, man, I'm not British. My grandfather was an immigrant from Edinburgh, though, and my mother's family is part Danish.

You should go to elementary summer school and learn your grammar. "It's the most fun thing to do ever!" It sounds weird, but it's still right grammar!

Never mind about that...stay home and keep saying w00t! and PARADE! to ban lsvllhs15!

Hey! I have to stay calm for the first day on the posting boards. After the 2nd, they're already off-topic, so I go off-topic then too. But for right now... I'll stay calm. *everyone gasps*

The topic does not directly related to calculators, but it does indirectly: A number of the visitors at this site play games which could be some form of vacation.

If you can call calculators on topic for that reason, you could call talking about the moon on topic because some people look at it when they're on vacation!
On any board anything would be on topic because it remotely relates to the news people are talking about.
There could be an article about a new ti keyboard, and because people use keyboards on computers, you could talk about the computer game starcraft and be on topic.
(I still think this board has no topic)

It comes from the slogan of a Washington restaurant, Ivar's (seafood). They say 'keep clam', and at all the parades they have people in black tights and clam suits.
