Author profiles connected to accounts
Posted by Magnus on 3 March 2002, 17:23 GMT

We've talked about it for a long time, but not done anything about it. But finally, it's done. The file author profiles are now connected to the user accounts.

This will make it possible to modify the information on these pages directly on the site using a normal login, instead of having to mail filearchive@ticalc.org. In the beginning, you will only be able to modify the name shown on the author information page - but we will update this with more features over time.

We have automatically connected all user accounts that had identical email addresses as an author profile to that user account. All other users will manually have to attach their author profile to their user account, using our normal "secret code is mailed out" method.

If you have any questions regarding your author profile, please contact filearchive@ticalc.org.

So how do you get to it? Enter Your Account, then chose Manage File Author Profile.

FIRST POST!!! w00t!

Anyway, I've been waiting for this, and it's nice that it has finally been done. It will be more convienent to change stuff, so you don't have to send out unreplied-to e-mails.

My lifelong dream is to have the first comment. I have practiced many years. My mouse clicking finger is well honed. My mouse ball, clean as ever. All I need is luck.

So just sit around all day refreshing over and over again. After two or three days your dream will be realized.

Does anyone know when will calc.org be fixed? Err... anyway, this author thing is great but it isn't really useful to author/programmers. I hope someday ticalc.org will have same option like calc.org did. ie; modify screenshots, speedy updating program, modify text, and other kewl options. But that's just a dream... And what it'll really be kewl?! Re-organize the games in types ie: RPG, shooting, stuff like that. I know, I'm just a one voice in a crowd but can't blame me for trying...

Syntax: romdump [filename] [size] [COM port]

This is obviously a DOS program.
Open up a DOS prompt window and go to the folder where you have the romdump.exe file.

Type 'romdump ti82dump.rom <whatever that maximum memory of a TI82 is> <whatever port your Graph-Link is plugged into>' (without the single-quotes). This should work. If not, kill meeeee!

Hm... typed in exactly what you said:

romdump ti82dump.rom <whatever that maximum memory of a TI82 is> <whatever port your Graph-Link is plugged into.

Maybe I should try it again and fill in the <>'s with what you really meant for me to type in.

Does that mean I still have to kill you?

Arg, still didn't work. This time I tried it right LOL :)

Okay, here's the information

The comport I use is Com Port 1
the size of a 82 rom is 131072
I don't care about the file name I call it.

Do I put the stuff in the braces like it says to? I'm weally weally confwused.
