TI APP Development Contest Results
Posted by Eric on 29 September 2001, 22:10 GMT

Well, it's sure been quiet around here lately, but TI has finally announced the winners to their APP Development Contest, which ended on August 15. The winners receive a paid 3-month opportunity to develop application software for TI, a trip to a calculator conference, and lots of other goodies. Congratulations to the winners.

Update (Eric): TI has notified me that there was an error on the page that has since been fixed. Brandon Sterner's Symbolic Differentiation App was tied for first place, rather than coming in second.

Where can I get the apps that won the contest? A lot of them don't appear to be on Ticalc.org

That's because the authors haven't released them to the public, or they haven't gotten around to telling TI what the site is. Or maybe even TI is imitating another site that shall remain unnamed and is now relying on static, not dynamic content.

If you see an APP title that is underlined, you can click on it for a link to a web page. On some of them, you might be able to download them.

Wow, I've been out of the TI community for a while, but I have seen commercialism has taken over TIcalc.org. No more news, the site's dead, and of course all the creators paid off from TI...what a shame

This stinx indeed :P I check the site every day, and every day i'm dissapointed. If this site quits, i quit making games for the GR. THIS SITE IS MY INSPIRATION!

Anyway, i dont think they're quiting the site because they're far to succesfull. Just take a quick look at the page requests (about-->server statistics) and you know how people come here every day. If the people (who work here right now) stop submitting, there are enough volunteers willing to take over!

ticalc.org LIVES !!!!

First you close the archive, now you refuse discussion on it. Tis shame.
