TI APP Development Contest Results
Posted by Eric on 29 September 2001, 22:10 GMT

Well, it's sure been quiet around here lately, but TI has finally announced the winners to their APP Development Contest, which ended on August 15. The winners receive a paid 3-month opportunity to develop application software for TI, a trip to a calculator conference, and lots of other goodies. Congratulations to the winners.

Update (Eric): TI has notified me that there was an error on the page that has since been fixed. Brandon Sterner's Symbolic Differentiation App was tied for first place, rather than coming in second.

I know this is a little off topic, but has anybody else submitted a program in or around early-August and still not had it added to the archives here?

It seems like they could say no-they haven't been very good about updates lately. There have been 11 articles from August to now this year, and last year had 39 in the same time period.

"It seems like they could say no..."

I believe I meant "couldn't" instead of "could"

You might try Magnus Hagander (mha@ticalc.org). Also, NickB (nickb@ticalc.org) joined the staff as an archiver a few months ago, so he might be able to tell you more about contacting the right staff members.

I just wanted to post some really awesome games that have been neglected.
Some listed arent even here at ticalc.org!
1. Streets of Rage 3

2. Mr Nutz <--A MUST! (VERY VERY GOOD)

These 2 can be found at http:// perso.club-internet.fr/ ppetit3/ jeuxasmang.html

Take away spaces between URL ( had add spaces due to ticalcs 40 character URL limit! )
And this one is donwloaded (but if you havent yet, DO IT!)

3. BomberMaze 68k, very complete and best animation I have ever seen! ( found at ticalc 89 > asm > games > doorsos section)

yea, took me a little while to beat the first level, but now first levels on any mode are easy. 2nd levels are immpossible! They have like ballon guys, they travel so fast, its very difficult.
I like the power up were you can lay more than one bomb and walk through the blocks!
