Command to Conquer v0.75
Posted by Eric on 7 June 2001, 06:08 GMT

Command to ConquerThis is one of those programs that have been out there for a while; I've been meaning to mention it, so here we go. Ty Taylor of calcware.org has released an updated version of Real-time Command to Conquer, a Command & Conquer clone for the TI-89. New features in this version include a few new buildings and fighting units, as well as lots of other interface enhancements.

This looks cool only if I had an 89 :-( I guess I'll have to stick with the modeled ARPG RPG's or something :-(

Hmm, I thought I fixed all errors that caused it crash. If you could tell me what exactly you were doing when it crashed, it would help me narrow down the problem.

Hmmm,

What Hardware and AMS version are you using?

It also crashed my calc (HW2, AMS 2.05) as i was leaving the program.
And i dont really know, what all the buildings are for and which units are better than the others (probably the more expensive ones).
Anyway, this program looks great.

It never crashed my calc(HW2, 2.03)
Also, usually you find out which units are better yourself. Big price isn't always better, sometimes it's better to have cheaper units but in large ammounts.

The problem are not the really the units, since all of them can do their job, but the buildings. I ve never played C&C on the PC so i dont know what eg a silo is for or if the power plants are just nessecary for the comm - center. I think this should be added to the "instruction manual".

Well, from all the screen shots I've seen, it looks pretty sweet. I just downloaded it, so I'll find out what it's really like, but I don't think I'll be let down. From what I've seen Ty's work looks very graphically endowed, just look at his BASIC rpg, War of the Arthropods. Good job Ty!

Man, if only the 83+ had a beautiful grayscale. So jealous of the 89. I hope some game comes out like CTC for the 83 too!

You could try SiCoDe Ground Assault.
Its practically the same, but turn-based, two player with no greyscale.
