TI Releases AMS 2.05 and Other FLASH Applications
Posted by Eric on 25 July 2000, 18:55 GMT

Michael Michaelson sends the news that TI has released AMS 2.05 for the TI-89 and TI-92+. This new rom version apparently fixes some memory bugs while viewing locked or archived programs.

Other FLASH applications such as Finance (free), Statistics with List Editor v1.01 (free), Cabri Geometry v2.02($30), and Geometer's SketchpadŽ v1.02($30) have also been released.

Download all these applications for the TI-89 and TI-92+.

Mike Michaelson's Life Story
Callidissimus

I'm "Mike Michaelson." My real name is Andrew. I created that hotmail account so I could submit a Slashdot story about Nick's Wacky Fun Random Numbar Generator and how it has solved the world's political, economic, and social ills. Now the account is coming in handy until I can create a different alias for myself, which will happen when I get a computer that doesn't suck (on account of my starting college), at which point I shall release the less crappy of my programs (on account of my turning 18 and being allowed to hold copyleft without restrictions).

And what about having to signup at ti.com, to download?
That is very bad, ti will know what we download, and can bug us. this is, in my opinion a very bad thing.

You can just fake all the information you don't want to give them. Say you live at 1500 Pennsylvania (sp) Ave. I think that's right. Should be the address of the President.

Well, I found no significant change in the operating system itself. But it is much more stable than AMS 2.04 or 2.03. I live in Sugar Land (Houston, Texas and yes, it is very near TI Corp.) and students are all required to buy a TI-89 if you want to take Calculus Honor AB or BC :-(

You're lucky. When I took AP Calc BC, I was one of three people with a ti-89 and I feel lucky that the teacher let me use it while most other people had ti-83s. Maybe she didn't realize what a huge advantage I had.

Yes, I have to agree with ya :-) TI-89 ROX! I took AP Calculus AB (Man, I should take BC) and it allowed you use TI-89 on the test. I will take AP Calculus BC next year though when I become a senior this August!

Hello? Is Nick out there somewhere? Why haven't you put the customary red-text notice on the new AMS release yet?

Siff

someone wanna call me stupid for not knowing anything then explain everything to me, What is HW2, i also updated to OS 2.05 and i can get basically no shells or asm programs to work, whenever i try it screws up and resets, i m ready to throw it out the window, can someone help with my questions n tell me how to run asm programs with 2.05 cause it all worked with what originally came on the calc. also i am so out of date with all this stuff cause i lost it for about 4 months then later found it. so anyone PLEASE help me and cure my stupidity on the subject. my basic impression is that, this is pretty screw up.
