[insert some kind of birthday-related music here]

and I just can't seem to get enough ofToday, ticalc.org turns four years old.
Good job, ticalc.org! We couldn't have celebrated this without you. :)

Also, today is my first year anniversary of working here, but nobody cares about that, so I'll just say that this is my 222nd news item and that all you people rock for putting up with me for the first 221 *g*.

I have no clue how many files we have in the database right now, but I'd guess it's someplace around 12,500. Steve is spending his time at Microsoft's world headquarters in Redmond (that lucky hax0r), and he would be the one to know the exact number.

Thank you to all our fans and readers who keep this site going. It's been a great time since then, and lots of great and not-so-great things have happened. We couldn't have done all this without you. Thank you thank you thank you. Each and every one of you. Much love.

Update (Phil): Nick is a very bad guesser. As of right now, there are 11,866 files in the ticalc.org filelist database table.

Update (Nick): :(

The ticalc.org web site has undergone many changes and facelifts over the years. ticalc.org should make older versions of the site available for nostalgic purposes.

That's what you think! Little do you know, I secretly swapped it with my own, moments before the picture was taken. Hah!
Happy birthday (or possibly "Creation day"? Ticalc.org didn't exactly get born, in a literal sense. Or maybe it did. I don't want to know.)

Yeah, well, _my_ birthday is on Phi Day. So there.

Yeah, I know, it's nothing comparable to ticalc.org's birthday, but oh well.

What day is it on this year? If you don't know, try:

www.ticalc.org/pub/82/basic/ programs/dayoftheweek.zip
www.ticalc.org/pub/83/basic/ programs/dayoftheweek.zip

btw, why do we have this stupid 40 character rule?

Why is it that programs are taking forever to get posted? (it's taken over a week for my posting....and still no sign of it).

Why am I posting so many comments this evening? Maybe I just have nothing better to do.

Steve is away for the week at Redmond. He'll be back this Wednesday.

What's Steve doing in Redmond? Advising Bill Gates on a strategy to secretly brainwash a few Supreme Court justices? Or what?

Good luck, anyways, for whatever (begging for the source?).

I noticed that too. It took over a week for my last five programs to get posted.

I've posted 44 programs in the past three months and most of them don't take this long. What's going on?
