Dimension-TI Reopens
Posted by Nick on 3 March 2000, 23:01 GMT

Dimension-TI is now back open for business. They experienced a three week long downtime due to their switching hosting companies. Apparently, their old hosting company got mad and switched Adam's account off without any prior notice. That's a Bad Thing(TM).
At any rate, it's back up now. @calc.org emails still don't work, so if you have anything to say about that, you can contact Adam at adam@dotcomma.org.
Also, Dim-TI says that they'll have some new features in the "not-so-distant future," so keep your eyes peeled. Look for a fantabulous new feature on our end soon, too. :)

We are working on getting the hosted sites back-up to a working level. Sometimes it takes sometime for the third-level domains to initialize all hosted sites should be up soon.

actually, for now you can go to http://www.calc.org/hosted/mf for the site... however i don't see any mention of space monkey on there - is it an old version of the site?

I thought that Dim had a server, not a web host. I guess I was told wrong. I don't think ti-files is so great either. There archives are just a list, and they blamed me for copying Dim's design. Do you think that I copied their design? www.crosswinds.net/~bbaweb

It's working. We have to reboot every once in a while as we install new things and fix bugs, but that only lasts 3 or 4 minutes. If you can't access it, just hold on for a couple minutes and try again.

I saw some of the first designs of that page, and yes, it was Ti-Files' evil twin.

Well then that means that you coppied Ti-files' design too, because you have the same frame set. The way I drew those pictures is I just used 1 color and made the bottom white. I made them in paintbrush. I didn't copy them. I could make a page by myself. And after, they thought I coppied dim's design because I used darker colors. To find them I just messed around with the color numbers, and figured them out myself. I wasn't even on the net when I made it.

Derrick: Send me some games with all the iformation that is on the file information pages. I'll be glad to put them on.

Adam Berlinsky-Schine: How much does that web host cost? Where do you get the money to pay for it if you don't have any banners? You don't sell that many calculators, do you?

Yes - we get the money from selling calculators. More information about our server is at http://www.digitalnation.com/.

It may be a server-side proxy cache...
