I would, actually, be willing to give in to in-program ads would they become necessary. (But I would also wonder, how do they get money out of them?)

To be honest, that would make me code the program as long and tedious as possible to make it super-hard to insert ads...lots of fake, unused script randomly-placed.

And I'd want all of the profit from the ads in my programs.

This had better be some kind of sick April Fool's day joke! (Most likely) Yeah Right! Editing all BASIC programs that come in? There are so many! That's a laugh!

Wow, this is one of the best April Fool's day jokes ever. No one had done anything to me all day, so I was highly susceptible.

Anyway, the idea is a great idea, but only if you could really get the script to work (it would be quite annoying if it placed the ad in the wrong place & it kept popping up all of the time).

I almost fainted when I saw this. lol. Then I saw the "fake news" thingy. April Fools!

To tell you the truth, I never found the current ads to be too intrusive, but that's probably because I'm only concentrating on the 50% of the pixels that aren't ads :)

However, with a 96*64 screen, you'll notice if an add is on your screen. Heck, you only have 6144 pixels to look at in the first place.

Well, in-calc adds would probably be full page- A lot more distracting than the tiny little ads on ticalc.org

I do know assembly; so I could still hack your binary files to add in calls to an ad routine. ;-)

almost got me there :p but then i realized it would be pointless all I would have to do is edit the ad out of the programm duh!!

...and then you'd re-upload your programs, and ticalc.org would readd the ads. :P

Knowing me, I'd put ads in there for them.

Well, if I ever put in any ads (and if I ever wrote a program worth uploading XD ) it would only be a small ad for one of my other programs, and it would just be in the "about" section.

BTW, its my birthday today! <:) And I got a TI-89!! WOOT!!
