January/February/March Newsletter Released
Posted by Michael on 1 April 2006, 03:39 GMT

Having run out of suitable adjectives to describe our newsletter editor, I will simply say that "lazy bum Jon" has finally published the ticalc.org newsletter for January - March. To add to his humiliation, he wrote "an open-source Windows emulator on Linux" instead of "an open-source program that allows you to execute Windows programs on Linux." Open source fanatics: Attack!

I'm eager to see how many people make it past the joke. :)

Going to www.detachedsolutions.com has the same results, however, al lthe links point toward ticalc's domain page.
I got scared because detached solutions for looked evenmore real than ticalc's so I believed it at first.

Not to mention that it's happened to them before.

I did, after a bit of clicking. No offense Andy, but the CG one is pretty weak.

It reminds me of Omnimaga's Minish Cap article from last year.

Following up, I guess this was the year of the missing websites. How boring. At least we had something original. (http://calcgames.org)

Unlike this, which was done before (see URL link above).

Mmmm… I live RSS feeds. I can see the posted articles, even though the main page doesn't show them!

hmm, it seems not many people are posting. Probably a lot of people aren't getting past the joke.

no. its because if you can't get to an up-to-date copy of the main page, this site is impossible to navigate; therefore, NOBODY CAN FIND THE ARTICLES (except the TI Basic article)

ticalc.org has been using that ad since April 1, 2001. Although I think they should replace it with the Beggin Strips ad instead.
