TI Connect v1.6 for OS X
Posted by Michael on 23 September 2005, 22:06 GMT

Ever-speedy Texas Instruments has at long last released TI Connect v1.6 for OS X, nine months after the corresponding Windows version debuted. System requirements include OS X 10.2 or higher, 128 MB of RAM, 20 MB of disk space, and the silver USB link cable.

Flame wars about Macintosh superiority or lack thereof are not acceptable. I had no choice but to delete the entire thread.

Wow, this shows how often I check TI's sites: I had no idea TI had released TI Connect v1.6 for Windows! (let alone for OS X...)

I might try it but I only have OS X, 10.0 :(
Pretty pathetic. I use 9.2 instead, because it's more stable.

Or he can upgrade to FedoraPPC for free. :p

It will run this version of TI Connect just as well as OS X 10.1: not at all. (It says 10.2 is required.)

Why don't you buy Tiger? I guess you could wait for Leopard, but why haven't you upgraded?

Or you could just pirate Tiger...

But seriously, he could have an older machine that isn't supported by newer versions of OS X (beige G3 or PowerBook Lombard, for example), or even have used a hack to install OS X on an even older machine.

OT, but I have both Tiger and Panther on different machines, and Panther is still more stable.
