UnitedTI's Contest Ends
Posted by Michael on 23 July 2005, 06:20 GMT

A deluge of people have e-mailed me about United-TI's ASM contest. So by popular demand, you can read about the winners, including "Sigma" who is now the happy owner of a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition. If you weren't familiar with the nature of the contest (to write an Asteroid Belt) game, brush up on the rules.

In other news, this story was delayed because I had no internet for nearly two days thanks to a faulty cable modem.

I wish I had heard about this. It was probably talked about when my cable modem was down. Oh well. Congratulations to the winner!

visit United TI's website: www.unitedti.org
Check out the download section and goto the 83/83+ section and then of course the ASM part. There you should find two entries. Tr1ps and mine Madskillz aren't present, but you can both see pictures of our entries in the ASM contest winner thread of the UTI forums. I at least plan to fix a few things on mine before I release it at UTI. I will post in the ASM contest winner thread when it is in their download section. Peace!

Yes, there will be a Basic contest held soon, it will also sport a nice prize. We are currently waiting on one of the Staff members to return from vacation to get that contest rolling.

We need more contests like this.
It encourages better programming and give people an incentive to code.

Everybody wins in the end!

We will most likely be holding a contest in the future for 68k programmers as well.
