TechniCalc Website Opens
Posted by Michael on 1 September 2004, 14:49 GMT

A number of TI community members have combined their webpages and launched technicalc.org. Ray Kremer's TI Graphing Calculator FAQ is one of the several webpages included in this central resource for TI calculator owners. You will also find the TI Tip List for 68k calcs as well as information and useful utilities for 68k calculators from several other authors.

Let's also not forget that in addition to the TI Graphing Calculator FAQ, your manual is an excellent source of information. Read it.

I would wholeheartedly agree with you, but when the three manuals (English German, French, I believe) that came with my v200 are incredibly tiny and don't even scratch the surface of what that behemoth of a calculator can do, you have to go someplace, and the manuals that TI provides online aren't that great either...

In your pocket, as the constant reference that in-depth calculator users need?

I would suggest to ticalc that they link to technicalc from the front page: "Be sure to check out these other recommended TI calculator sites:" section

Just that good.

That's a good idea...there could even be a link in the Help section...that might stop all those n00b idiots from e-mailing Morgan. :-)

I don't want to seem too self envolved, but that seems a little too coincidental after my remark in the last article.

It's a great comment, too. I fully endorse the reading of manuals, though I realise that they tend to be too cryptic and/or too dry for many.

Somebody should make GTA-at least GTA 1 for the 68k series! Please reply if you are willing to do this.

You do not play computer, PS2, Xbox and Gameboy games?
All have versions of GTA, ranging from GTA 1 (Gameboy) to GTA:Vice City (PC, PS2, and Xbox.

Also, I noticed that you've posted this on multiple message boards. If you really want a clone this badly, just find a fairly recent (good) '89 game and e-mail the author or something, or post this on the Game Ideas board (in the Programming section) instead of here, where it doesn't belong.

I posted it on the Game Idea boards. After that, I spent 30 minutes looking just WHERE it got posted. After that, I just game up on the GAme Ideas.

An author that writes calssic DOS games, shoot-'em-ups, and "Z-Kart" games does not seem to be the type of programmer to program a fighting-action-simulation-driving-type game.

He's good at it, though. Nobody's done this type of thing, so it would probably be good to contact a master.
