Kinda funny that Dying Eyes won both 82 and 83 categories after all the discussion about ports not being eligible and programs only winning once, etc.

Look at the other choices - I _never_ vote for ports without knowing that the port was extrememly difficult (take Joltima) - but even as a port with no work involved it's more attractive than the other choices. . .

Amusing maybe, but deserving definitely. Whether a port or not, Dying Eyes never was recognized when it was released. It has never been nominated before. I think it deserves this. Thanks for all the people who voted for me and sam's work! hehe ~Alex (Dying Eyes writer) and id also like that animated screenshot, if its still offered.

Yes, it is, for both versions (82 and 83). I don't know how different they are, but what the hey :) Email kirk@ticalc.org for more info on them. This also goes for any other winners. Once again, congrats to everyone!

I was so sure the Super Mario 86 w/ greyscale would win. That I am proud of. I hope the creater would enhance it so it supports external levels. Some people complained last time that Prosit wasn't being reconized, well they should be happy today. And Last of all, I know it is off the topic, but I got the Second comment. Still waiting on the first.

"first comment" posts are always off-topic and thus are always deleted by me as soon as I see them.

Only if you have something important (and on-topic!) to say will a "first comment" post be kept. :)

Excuse me! I happen to be the first replier, but it was not off topic! In fact, the only thing I said pretaining to it being the first reply was a one word sentence "First.". Then, I said that I was dissapionted with the results for the TI-83 because I had never played the games that ranked top. So, I resent what you said about the "first comments"!

Well, there is a board for the news item, and one for the voting results.

I never said that all first posts are stupid. I said that all "first comment" posts are stupid. That specifies that they are posts by people that only say they have posted first. I delete those.

If you posted something important, then I won't delete it.

Remember, anyhow, that generalities are, by defintion, false.

BTW--how can you be disappointed that a game you've never played ranked above the one you did?

Try the other games--they may actually be good. But you don't know if they are good or bad because you haven't played them. :)

That is why when I get off the topic, I make sure I am partly of the topic. Also if someone responds to my comment, I can come back to the comments but I think it would be easier for me if the person writing the responce will e-mail his/Her responce. My e-mail adressw is right up there and you can alway click the yellow button. I hope that was on the topic. It would of been If it was on the Site layout change topic.

So, why was my message deleted?

Anyways, I am going to try out the programs :). So, I guess your right, try it before you speak/act/complain/etc. SI hadn't even heard of the program, so, thats why I was dissapointed (b/c I usually know about all the current programs!).

P.S. (TO ALL) If you are participating Project A, it is in its second stage and you need to get into a developer group before they start programming!

ticalc.org offers email help? Since when was this?

-Miles Raymond

btw: You seem to be a bit more attentive to what others outside of ticalc.org say, so would you like to hear some of my ideas for ticalc.org?

If my memory serves me right, help@ticalc.org would be the place to ask questions if you can't find info in the FAQ or anyplace else on our site.
Also, if you want to send anybody a suggestion on how we can make the new site better, email a staff member such as me (nickd@ticalc.org). Provided your idea is constructive (and feasible), we'll probably consider it. We're always willing to listen to advice from others; sometimes we're just not creative enough to think of stuff :).
