In the past every time you reached a landmark number you would always say "requests" so it is misleading to call it hits this time. look at the other posts here, other people thought it meant "unique visitors" too. You are right. From now on we will use requests to indicate this type. Hits is can be an ambiguous term, but I do believe that this is legitamite useage.

Look at the web server statistics. They get a LOT of traffic.
