M.C. Mik #2 v1.0u Released
Posted on 8 March 1999, 01:05 GMT

Andreas Ess of Icarus Productions has released M.C. Mik #2 v1.0u for the TI-85 (Usgard). This is the second episode of the first jump 'n' run game for the TI-85. This version features better collision detection than the original. In the future, Andreas may release the source code and/or release some of the remaining three levels of the game. This is the sequel to M.C. Mik v1.1u.

I'm the first message! Hopefully, BomberBloke is getting ported soon. Last time the news said that it'll be released in the next 24 hours or so.

In my opinion, I agree with because the game was slow and it was VERY hard. I haven't tried out the sequel so I won't jump to conclusions just yet...

Come on, it's not that bad. Kinda hard, and the nice greyscale background gets in the way(at least you can get rid of it) but it's a well done game. Give Andeas some credit =)

it's very cool to see that there are some peoples who do not forget the 85. The 85 is the root of the TI assembly and one of the best calc ever!...
Go on!...
However i'm surprised that there are only a few comments when a program comes out and hundreds comments for the Bryan affair. Are the people who come here interested in calcs or in insulting each other?...

I pretty much have to agree that the M.C. Mik (series?) is not real great, but you have to compare it to some other games for the 85, like Super Mario Bros v0.41 Alpha (which will hopefully get better when it's done.). Also, Andreas at least made M.C., which is more then many people can say...
P.S. That's not my web page, but it's pretty cool anyway.

Look, it may have been a hard thing to make, but it crashes to easily, is not fun, and in the sequel, you can barely tell what things are....

Let's face it: Andreas Ess days as a premiere programmer is over, he's finished and that's it.
Now let's get over it and focus on the upcoming talents.

He's not completly dead (although some of his titles are...)! He's did single handedly make Usgard (He had very little help) and when he releases a much anticipated Usgard v1.6 (Should be soon) it will a program everyone will get!

Andreas wont be finished until he stops programming. Him and Jimmy Mardell along with the rest of Icarus Productions have converted Jimmy's classic game, SQRXZ, to a gameboy game and those guys are already legends in their own rights. They have achieved so much more than alot of TI programmers out there can say. I say Andi is an awesome programmer and he'll be around until he decides not to be.

we never said he wasn't a good programmer we just said that his games sucks-pj1 was good
pj2 sucked
mc mik series sucked
virtego sucked
xc1701 II always screwed up on the bosses and elsewhere
-he should have kept working on his rpg! that would have brought him back up in the ti world, but stopped working on it
-BAD DECISION!!
