Preview of CiOT
Posted on 26 December 1998, 20:24 GMT

[CiOT Screenshot]

Stephen Horne has given ticalc.org a demo version of CiOT (Calculator Info Organizer Thingy) for the TI-86 for previewing. When completed, this program will include a phonebook, an agenda, and a calendar (shown right). Stephen recently lost the source code and all attempts to salvage it using a decompiler have failed. However, Stephen will start over on the project if there is enough interest.

Ultima`

Looks VERY interesting. I usually write assignments into BASIC progs for storage, and lately I've been kinda upset about my discovery that ZCalendar 86 doesn't support leap-years. I am looking forward to CiOT. My calc has LOTS of space....

Looks very good; am interested in 85 port
The Big One

This program looks very good, I have been looking for something like this for a long time. One problem is that I have only an 85. I, and I'm sure others, would greatly aprreciate a port to the 85. Anyways, good luck recovering, and keep up the good work!

I got the calendar working just today, so its definitely getting there. ;-)

Not to disappoint, but I'd expect the port to be awhile off. I need to reaquaint myself with the 85 first.

Badder, the Hedious

Good Job.
You have my support on that idea.
Instead of making existing software, programmers should work on new ideas or other that aren't worked for a long time.

Hail, Stephen!

I had same idea.... (read on)
FeLiX
(Web Page)

a couple of months ago (I think), I had the exact same idea. I would make something like those handheld electronic organizers (ie. calendar, organizer, reminder, etc..) however i was at a lack of knowledge for the assembly language for the ti-83 so i was excited about someone making this ( i had discussed this with people on the 83 assembly list which i recently quit ) so anytime anyone wants to port this cool program to 83 (i can't afford 86) have fun and good luck

(sorry for bad grammar or whatever, no caps) gotta go guys
bye

I would be interested in porting this program to the ti-83. I lack in time and skills to create a program with this complexity that doesnt' take up your entire memory, but I do own a ti-83, and I do know how to program. there's one problem. I don't know where I can or if I can find source code for any of these programs. I'm not sure if the program is done, but if anyone knows how I can find code for this or any organizer program, I would appreciate it. please email me at lijhbaley@aol.com, I don't often get around to checking boards like these...thank you.
