nationwide craze? i dont think so. just because the person interviewed by the newspaper liked it does not make it a huge success. it has been out for how long? seems like years, and check the web server statistics.

Dude, i can say the same thing, i've seen 50 100 however many people with graphing calculators and not one of them had drugwars, so in my opinion the statistics are true :oP

Well, the point is stupid that it is one of the most popular games that is on these calcs, and it IS craze on schools. People ask me ALL THE TIME at my schoo, "Do you have drugwars on ur calc?". Just b/c it doesn't exist in your town, it sure as hell is in mine. Plus it's prob in mine b/c of the high drug/crime rate ;)

Hey sounds great! But what if some rebelling group thinks that this site should be taken out because of its free games and how they waste time in class. I dont want that to happen. I would rather like it if it was just us the (calculator gurus and players) know about this. Well enough of my babbling , main thing is , i dont ever want this site gone!!

I say i've got ta agree w/ this guy, i mean, some people think that these calcs and their progs rule, including my drafting tech teacher, but other people don't (the rest of my teachers). The puplicity was AWESOME but i really counldn't tell if the article was dissin on the calcs or promoting them???.. Some people could easily get the wrong idea from it i think...

Heh...

You say you spend 5 hours a day updating archives...
Is that a wild exxageration or what? Either you're making yourself sound like a total nerd, or you're really slow :P. Especially since ticalc.org is automated. Dave Jaklitsch says he spends an hour or two a day, and TI-Files isn't even automated :P.

I thought this wasn't about competition.

It very well could take that long. It's been a while since I've been to TI-Files, but from my experience ticalc.org is a bit more complex than it. The automation requires maintanaince, updates have to be verified to ensure everything is working, and of course there is the development of new features. All in all I think it's time well spent as this site would look damn good on a resume.

Yeah....5 hours seems like a bit too much for someone who is a student....or for anyone doing anything except sitting in front of the computer all day.
