Suitability: 10/10 Great for its purpose! Ease-Of-Use: 10/10 A cinch to use! Overall: 9/10 Only two bad points!
So you thought that TI-BASIC had run its course, that there was nothing left to do with it? Wrong! Funk 3D is the best TI-BASIC program I have ever used.
So what is Funk 3D? It is simply the best, fastest 3D grapher for the TI-86 that there is. It includes a TI-89 style interface which makes it look like an assembly program. It has five menus: Detail, Style, Equation, Graph, and View. These are very easy to use. There are two levels of detail: 7 X 7 and 14 X 14. Even the 14 X 14 detail level is faster than any TI-86 3D grapher I have tried before. The Style menu has three options: point, line, and grid. Grid produces the best quality graph. The equation menu merely lets you input the equation (both x and y MUST be lower case). Graph graphs the equation, and view lets you set the windows. The interface is a cinch to use, and everything is very convenient. I only have two dislikes about this great program. The first is the lack of any sort of trace function. The second is the space taken up. The program, with pictures, takes up almost 10K of my calculator's memory.
This program is perfect for any person with a TI-86 calculator. It is fast, easy to use, and a definite download! |
