Attention span: 5/10 The replay value is fine as long as you don't play it too often (I can't play it more than three times in one sitting) Controls: 9/10 An interesting twist on the Nibbles game Implementation: 5/10 No levels, but it's fun. Overall: 6/10 A pretty decent game.
This is your standard nibbles-clone with a few new twists. First, there are no levels. Second, the balls change sizes. Third, like Pea Worm on the 86, the control is more absolute than in other nibbles games. Instead of mere 4 directional movement, you can move in almost all directions imaginable.
Other features include: a cool title screen, a speed changer, and a highscore keeper and resetter (good idea!).
This game is fairly entertaining, but like PeaWorm on the 86, the game simply is not gripping enough to warrant playing often. It is a fairly good time killer. Unfortunately, there are at least seven other 83-ASM nibbles games, so this game has plenty of competition.
The small size compliments this role, so I suggest keeping this game on your calculator. |
