Attention span: 10/10 You could play for days.
Controls: 10/10 Everything works correctly, with fast responses.
Implementation: 10/10 Just like original PC version.
Overall: 10/10 This game is amazing!

Boulderdash is a game that has been around for a long time. One could even consider it a classic. The first TI version of Boulderdash was made by Jimmy Mårdell for Fargo (for the TI-92), with several other ports made afterward. The TI-89 port was made by Mikael Sundberg.

This game is so true to the original it is amazing. Even though the screen is small (relative to a computer screen), the graphic detail is remarkable. Although few squares fit on the screen at once because of this level of detail, the scrolling easily makes up for this, leaving you with a game with incredible graphics and playability. This version features all the original levels from Boulderdash, plus an extra set from Boulderdash III (at least, that's how I interpreted the documentation). You can choose which level you want to start on, as well as choosing a difficulty level from 1 to 5. When you play the game, all the original features are there: dirt, boulders, jewels, fireflies, butterflies, etc.

Normally in this paragraph I would put in various complaints. For this game, however, it was really hard to find anything to complain about. I guess the high score feature which was omitted from this beta version would be nice. Also, maybe a teacher key or shut down key would be nice. Otherwise, this thing is practically perfect.

As far as I can tell, no version of Boulderdash could be made for the TI-89 that would be better than this! This is the PC version! Download this game!
