Attention span: 9/10 The ability to create levels makes for an infinitely replayable game.
Controls: 8/10 Simple, virtually perfect control.
Implementation: 7/10 (no comment)
Overall: 8/10 Excellent idea for a calc game.

Mario92 is a version of Nintendo's Super Mario Land written for the TI-92+. It uses the same graphics as the original game, and the controls, for the most part, are the same. The object is the same, but the levels themselves are completely different from the original, so if you're used to that version, you won't know these levels. The game is also packaged with a level editor for the computer which easily allows you to create user levels for the calculator. The save feature is also quite handy since the game is so long.

Mario 92 has a few differences from Mario Land, the most noticeable of which are the lack of a "run" button and the lack of power-ups. The only item you can get in the current version is the 1-up mushroom. You also can't go down the pipes in this version, which can be rather annoying for people used to the original. The game is quite large, but, due to the incredible amount of memory on the 92+ module, it doesn't really cause a problem. So far, this game bares more of a resemblance to Sqrxz than to Mario in terms of game play, but still stays true to Mario for graphics, levels, and story line.
