Plain Jump, a port of the TI-86 game by Andreas Ess, is a great arcade game where you have to try to avoid falling off the scrolling plane. You get six lives to start the game, and a score meter in the upper-left corner increments as you go farther into the plane.

Plain Jump is very easy-to-learn; simply use the arrows to move around and 2nd to jump. The many level sets and a high score feature provide good replay value. After you get tired of those, you can create your own levels with the external level editor, which is included in the zip file. The level editor runs right on the calculator, so you can give it to your friends too.

To increase the replay value of this already great game, random levels could be implemented, so a seasoned player would never get bored. Also, a one-life system would probably make more sense than a six-life system, as with other arcade games such as FallDown.

Plain Jump, after numerous beta releases, is now one of the best games ever made for the TI-83.
