Attention span: 5/10 Gets dull, no variety or character.
Controls: 5/10 Fair, all toolbar menus.
Implementation: 3/10 Missing features, scoring is WRONG.
Overall: 4/10 Poor graphics, doesn't work right.
This is a port of the TI-92 game. Why would anybody port a game like this? Anybody with this game on their calculator obviously hasn't shopped around for a better one.
The card's graphics only show a basic character or digit in the upper-left hand corner; the dealer's cards don't even have graphics. There is no title screen at all. The scoring is not correct. When the dealer gets a BlackJack, you lose twice as much as you bet.
Another little annoyance is that the bet amount is entered into a dialog box, and this means you need to turn alpha-lock off everytime it pops up.
There are no options like double down, split hand, and insurance. This makes the game boring. You can't even count cards, because the deck isn't randomized, only individual cards are.
There is a little on-calculator help for the basics of BlackJack and what a BlackJack and a 5 card charlie count towards your points.
