Attention span: 3/10 Boring
Controls: 2/10 Awkward, Unresponsive, all around bad
Implementation: 6/10 Cool menu system, but that is all.
Overall: 4/10 Yak!
This game really turned me off. It seems apparent to me that the author spent more time on the out-of-game graphics and menu system then he did on the actual game. That's a bad thing.
First of all, the game is a shooter, but the enemies do not shoot. They fly down the screen very quickly, and you lose power if they hit you. The quick moving enemies give an illusion of speed. The ship moves and shoots like molasses. The controls are unresponsive and awkward like having ALPHA being the select key.
The menu based intro screen and some of the pre-game graphics look really good, accounting for the large 4.5K size, but the game itself lacks. |
