This program solves problems like abs(X-3)=4, abs(X^2-4X-5)=7. abs(X^2-X-1.25)=1.5. You need to input the left and right side separately. The left side must be written as: abs(.X…), there must not be anything outside of that. So if the equation is: abs(X-3)-2=2, you must rewrite it as: abs(X-3)=4. The right side can also be an expression in X: abs(2X-3)=X+2, or abs(2X-3)=X^2-4X-5. This is the only program, for the TI83/84 Plus, I know of that can give you all four exact solutions for a second degree expression complete with root sign and everything. It also tells you if a solution is false, or if there is no solution.
