Description
|
This program is the same as FACTOR1 ( factor1.zip ) in this directory, except that it can also solve any second degree equation, and give its exact values. It also gives you the GCD of the polynomial. So if the polynomial you want to solve has two factors that are not rational, this program solves it completely. Try for example: 2/3X^2 +4/3X -2, X^3 +X^2 +X -3, and -X^4 +4X^3 -2X^2 -7X +6, The program is only 1049 bytes, so the presentation of the results is very simple: The GCD comes first, the non rational roots comes second, and last the rational factors, wich are presented as a list >Frac.
