Uno is a great adaptation of the classic card game. The gameplay is fast, simple, and responsive, the cards look good, and there are a wealth of customizable rules and options. The AI is good, but like the card game, this game is best with a group. Giggle with delight as you hit your pal with a Wild Draw Four! You can choose between playing for points (which takes forever with few players) or playing a quick game like I do. Your hand can automatically be sorted by color, and the colors are represented by distinguishable greyscale. I especially liked the Press Any Key screen which hides your hand in multiplayer until the calc is passed. An excellent game as is, but I would have liked a small initial on each card denoting its color and a "Shout Uno" button for single-player mode (you'd be able to hit it in multiplayer before anyone else even knew you were down to Uno). |
