This is probably one of the best strategy games for your 83+/84+ inspired by the all-time-classic 'Age of Empires'! It includes 21 different levels, A great skirmish mode, awesome graphics with lots of background sprites, even cheats (in the readme!) , mirage OS-compability, and the most important thing in a game: A lot of Fun. Just look at the screens, download it, check out the Readme-file and start to play! Comment regarding the review: Well, on my Calculator the 'Add Soldier'-command works fine... I assume you haven't enough gold, wood or free houses to build a soldier...? I just wanted to make clear that this game fully works(!) lolje

Graphics: 9/10
Good for a BASIC game! Some people, though, would rather see the trees eliminated to save map loading times.
Gameplay: 10/10
I cannot say there is anything wrong with the gameplay. Good concept, good execution, good structure. The skirmishes are really fun! Please release more research, buildings, and soldiers!
Controls: 8/10
Make the cursor wrap around instead of stopping at the edges. Plus, the cursor suffers from lag.
Speed: 7/10
Ah, yes. The dreaded speed. The speed gets really laggy nearly 2 minutes into playing it. AND, I once was exited out because of insufficient memory. As usual, with most large BASIC games, save often and restart it to increase speed and decrease possible memory problems.
Overall: 8.5/10
This is a great game. The speed doesn't outweigh the gameplay, and you should definitely download this now. |
