This program is useful for those who have never recognized the pattern of keys. TI wasn't stupid, so they created a very logical pattern to the TI keyboard for the 82 and 83's. (chances are, this also works up to the 89).
To figure out the key code for any button except on (since it causes the program to stop), just take the row the key is on (row 1 is on top with the y= key) and multiply by 10. Add to that number the column it is on (count from the left starting with 1). So as an example of the key structure, if I wanted to know the keycode for the key 8, I would find that the key is on the 7th row and 3rd column, so the keycode is 70 + 3 = 73. It isn't hard to do mentally and saves lots of time from having to back out of writing a program to run another then search where you left off. Note that the 2nd row actually has 6 columns while the 3rd row only has 4 (the arrows kind of bend the rows a little, but this makes sense).
I really hate saying that any program is bad, but in all reality the program is not needed. |
