“Sim City 83+” is similar to the computer game, but without a lot of features, and a big toll on your memory.

Controls-- 9/10 Fast, sometimes a little too fast, making it hard to place your peices right.

Graphics-- 10/10 Very good, considering most of the sprites are 8x8, plus the road system looks great!

Gameplay-- 5/10 Confusing. Population, money, everything is skewed. Plus there are no ways to win or lose, and it lacks many features.

Bugfreeness-- 9/10 Okay, except I had a freeze up once.

Overall-- If you’re a fan of the series, this could be your road pal.

“SimCity 83” is an incredible game in that accurately reproduces a game from a different system on the calculator. If you enjoyed the original “SimCity” then this game is well worth the download. It has a few shortcomings, which could be fixed, mainly because there is no way to "win," but to a SimCity fan this is no setback. The game includes most of the classic buildings and allows you to create your own mini-world using them. I would not recommend it if you are more of an action gamer - the nearly flawless graphics and gameplay don't make up for the lack of action. However, it is still an excellent game and will satisfy most anyone.

One error in the game is that it will occasionally resize the screen horizontally and the only way to fix it is to restart the shell you are running it from.
